AI Motion Designer: animation you can revise in After Effects

Plan for the second version when making the first

The price changes from PLN 199 to PLN 179, and the caption needs to appear half a second later. That is a small revision while the text remains a separate animation layer. Once it is part of a rendered image, the change may mean generating again or doing additional editing.

That is why AI Motion Designer interests us. Higgsfield describes an agent that builds motion graphics in an open After Effects composition, leaving text, layers and animation editable. The product appeared in the changelog on September 11, 2026; it is not a launch from this week. The project below is a proposed brief. We have not tested the agent ourselves.

Ten seconds, three clear moments

Take an intro for a small class-booking app. For the first three seconds we see a class card, then a time slot is selected and the button changes state. The name and plan price close the sequence. The whole piece should last about ten seconds. One action is more interesting here than a tour of every screen.

Prepare your own interface view, logo, exact copy and colours. Describe the order of events in the brief, including the moment when the viewer should pause and look. Separate decoration from information: the card can slide gently into view, but the selected time must stay legible. Plan the price and closing line as separate text elements so they are ready for another version.

Before you start the agent

The official ChatGPT workflow lists the desktop app, the Higgsfield plugin and After Effects on the same computer. The entry point is /use-after-effects followed by a description of the task. The company requires active Higgsfield, GPT and After Effects subscriptions; asset generation spends Higgsfield credits. The current setup instructions are linked below.

Start with a copy of the project and a short composition whose intended behaviour you can judge. Ask for layer names that describe their roles: card, selection, name, price. That organisation helps you find the right element when feedback only concerns the ending. You do not need a whole campaign to learn whether the workflow suits your revisions.

A useful revision has a small scope

After the first version, change one thing: delay the closing line by half a second while keeping the total duration at ten seconds. Then replace the price. Check that the text still fits the card and the viewer has time to read it. A longer translation may need a different line break rather than faster animation.

Watch the preview at its intended display size and without sound. Then inspect the project: can you locate and manually edit the price layer? Success in this exercise would mean a predictable revision, as well as an attractive first render. Keep the project with its source assets so the next person can return to it.

When to choose Katana, and when to use After Effects

Motion creates the first impression; the ability to revise a particular layer determines whether you can comfortably get the animation ready to publish.
